PulseWave is Rochester Sensors' latest radar platform — a 60GHz non-contact sensor that installs on top of the tank without any drilling. The TEK 920 communicates over BLE 5.0, not cellular. To get data to Rivio's cloud, a Rivio BLE gateway on the vehicle or facility aggregates the BLE readings and forwards them over LTE.
Bluetooth 5.0 provides up to approximately 100m line-of-sight range indoors. For vehicle mounting, the Rivio gateway picks up the TEK 920 when within BLE range.
Yes. In addition to the BLE wireless model, the TEK 920 is available in a wired version with analog voltage signal output — suitable for fixed installations where a wired connection is preferred.
Both are radar sensors. The TEK 920 communicates over BLE (needs a gateway for cloud integration) while the TEK 880 has built-in cellular. TEK 920 also has 1cm accuracy and is Rochester's newest radar platform.
